Rhythm Section

Includes Keyboard, Xylophone, Glockenspiel and eventually Marimba, Tubular Bells, Vibraphone and often Timpani.
Mallet players often also cover Bass Drum, Cymbals and Auxiliary parts when needed.

Where a band is short on Bass Guitars, Tubas and low instruments, Mallet Percussionist often play the Tuba part at the bottom of a Keyboard, reading Bass Clef. (Like Left Hand of a Piano part)
